Understanding Prakriti and food preferences.
Prakriti is Ayurveda’s concept of individual constitution, commonly described through Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It can be a topic in a personal wellness conversation. It is not the same as a medical diagnosis or a genetic test.
What do Vata, Pitta and Kapha mean?
Within the traditional Ayurvedic framework, these concepts describe patterns used to discuss constitution, characteristics and routines. People may be described using combinations rather than one category. Such descriptions belong to that framework; they are not measured DNA variants.

How could food guidance use this framework?
If selected, a guided conversation may consider familiar foods, preferences, meal texture, preparation and routine alongside the person’s goals. Ask who conducts an assessment, what method is used and how recommendations are checked against individual dietary needs.
Café Manna’s short self-reflection questionnaire is an introduction to traditional ideas. It does not establish your constitution definitively or produce a validated health-risk score. Guided service availability and its scope should be confirmed with the team.
You can skip the Prakriti step in the consultation intake. You can also enquire about meals directly, without completing any constitution questionnaire or purchasing counselling.

Researchers have examined associations between selected Prakriti classifications and biological characteristics. A 2015 study investigated genetic associations in selected, well-classified participants. An association study does not prove that constitution-matched meals improve health, and it does not validate Café Manna’s questionnaire.

Traditional interpretation, agreement between assessors and demonstrated health outcomes are different questions. This page does not present Prakriti as a tool for diagnosing disease, choosing medicines or predicting future illness.
You can choose personalisation without Prakriti.
Your schedule, food preferences, meals and goals can guide a discussion whether or not you choose this traditional framework. Medical needs, allergies or prescribed diets should be addressed with the appropriate professional.
