The Café Manna approach
Café Manna brings together practical meals and a more personal conversation about food. You can begin with lunch from our Nacharam kitchen, or explore how your routine, preferences and goals could shape a meal programme.
ICMR-NIN’s My Plate for the Day brings several food groups into a daily eating pattern: cereals and millets, pulses and other protein foods, vegetables, fruit, milk or curd, nuts and seeds, and fats. Variety and appropriate amounts matter together.
The leaflet uses an approximately 2,000 kcal daily reference and lists raw ingredient quantities per day, rather than cooked portions for a single meal. It is not a plan for a specific medical condition. Individual needs and the food eaten outside a delivered meal also matter.
For a Café Manna order, ask what is included in your selected meal, its portion sizes and how it fits your wider daily diet. We do not claim ICMR-NIN endorsement or verified compliance of every meal with a standard plate.

Millets can bring variety to familiar breakfasts, bowls and thalis. Preparation, accompaniments and portion size remain relevant.
Consider pulses and beans, and dairy, eggs or other foods according to preference. A “high protein” claim needs recipe and portion evidence.
Vegetables and fruit contribute to dietary diversity. Ask which vegetables, salad or other sides accompany the day’s menu.
The Blue Zones concept concerns communities reported to have unusual longevity. Studies in Sardinia and Nicoya examine population patterns, including food and activity; these observations do not establish a single proven longevity formula.
Predominantly whole-food, plant-forward eating, legumes, natural movement, social connection, purpose, mindful portions and sustainable routines are themes discussed around this concept. Each theme needs its own evidence; none proves that a particular meal programme extends life.
These are educational references to a lifestyle concept and independent research. Café Manna does not claim a Blue Zones partnership, certification or branded programme, and does not claim that its meals prevent disease or extend life.

Food preferences, meal timing, budget and goals are a practical starting point.
